Description:

Our goal is to reinforce this routine so that over time it becomes more automatic.  Learning this new task can be very rewarding for children if they are not rushed or pressured and are given encouragement. Having children teach their favorite stuffed animal or doll to go potty using this chart can help them internalize the steps as well as allow you to make sure they fully understand each step on the chart.

If you want to teach your son to stand to urinate, you may use the additional card that depicts a hippo standing at the toilet. You can velcro it next to the sit card. This chart is helpful for children as well as individuals with special needs. It is designed to be durable and easy to clean.  We hope you and your children find this chart helpful.

* The optional Hippo’s Reward Chart will allow your child to visually see his/her progress and be proud of his/her accomplishment. Encourage your child to use the potty with this reward chart. This is an excellent way to praise your child for his/her accomplishment. Your child will be able to earn a hippo token when he/she uses the potty. When the board is filled the child gets a star.
